I’ll try to go through most things that I personally find important and that you should know. After all, it’s not everything in drinking – you have to know why you are drinking dry red wine.
First of all – the name. Why is dry red wine called like that?
Basically, in order to understand that, you have to know the whole process of wine making. But to keep things simple I’ll just tell you this. Grape skin is involved into red wine making and grape skin brings the color. There are various colors of grape skin so according to that, there are various colors of red wines.
And something about why it is called dry. The wine is called dry when there is low amount of sugar. Opposite to that, wine is called sweet when there is high amount of sugar.
Now that we solved the name problems, we will look deeper into how dry red wine is served.
You have probably already noticed that red wines are served in special glasses. Those glasses are egg-shaped. They are shaped like that to make the breathing of wine possible. The best temperature to serve wine is around 62 Fahrenheit. It’s not good if it’s lower, it’s not good if it’s higher.
